Hello everyone!
I just made it through the long journey from Lubbock, TX to DC!
In just one day I paid too much for one piece of luggage, flew about 4 hours, went down a dark creepy alley to the Tech House, unpacked, and got kicked out of Subway (the sandwich shop) all in one day. I have already made great memories, and it has only been five hours since I have arrived!
The Tech House is where all the Texas Tech student interns stay. There are 19 of us this semester. I have one friend that is also interning with me- Angie Sims. She is my sorority sister, as well as a great friend of mine. We are keeping the buddy system alive and thriving this semester!
I will be working for Congressman Conaway for the next four months. I start this Thursday with training. By having this blog, I will be able to keep you all up with what I am doing, and how everything is going.
I am very excited about this semester and I cannot wait to adventure out into the big city of Washington D.C.
